PHUKET- Thailand

If you find yourself visiting Thailand, i recommend spending 2 days in Phuket to understand the origins of the city. Phuket`s main sights can all be seen easily in a short time and these include the big Buddha, the old city, markets, and your choice of temple.

Food is also very good here, fresh and authentic and the people are ever so friendly.

Going up to visit the big Buddha is a must!

NOTE- Please wear flat shoes. You will have alot of walking, stair climbing and heals just won't work.

The view of Phuket from this vantage point is beautiful and you have the chance not only to see 2 Buddha statues (one white and one gold), but to be blessed by Buddhist Monks who have their Monastery perched above Phuket too. It`s all very soul cleansing and I loved it!

Be wary of putting anything down though as monkeys roam this hood and they love to steal whatever they can get their hands on to barter for food with you. I guess it is their way of welcoming tourists ;)

The old city is small but full of shopping, great restaurants and the architecture will surley surprise you.
