Do you ever visit a place with a preconceived image in your mind of perfection awaiting you?
By this I mean myself. I am guilty of over thinking and dreaming up a thought in my mind of how a place should look and feel and expect it to be like that.
Reality though steps in most of the time and brings me back to how it really is.
So when in this part of Mexico, all the visuals in my mind are just how i saw them in life.
The Bahia Peninsula is beyond picturesque. The hot orange desert, scattered full of enormous flowering cactus plants. Tundra being blown in the sand by the hot, dry winds. The bluest of skies and ocean and magnificent Haciendas floating in the sand like an oasis of colour. I so love it here!
I am also one who loves to find local products which reflect the place I am in. There is so much pottery, art, mosaics and handmade artefacts in Cabos. Most of the time my issue is to convince myself upfront that as I can't take home big pieces, i must settle with seeing them and parting with them.
Difficult to do when you are surrounded by so much beauty and creativity.
