Welcome to the Cook Islands in Polynesia!
After an 8 hour flight (including a stop over in Aukland New Zealand), I arrived to this paradise expecting the beautiful turquoise waters and lush green tropical greenery.
Catching the absolute tail end of their rainy season, the day of my arrival was still a little overcast but that was all the rain for my stay.
Day one is always a time for adjustment and settling into your new surroundings.
On this day I had already found my palm tree of choice to photograph with and couldn't be happier with my accommodation.
The Little Polynesian Resort is a boutique hotel consisting of only 14 villas right on the beachfront.
My daily routine of a coconut a day began upon my arrival and has continued up until today.
Little fact.. The capital of the Cook islands is Rarotonga and has only 2 buses on the entire island. No number required as they are named Clockwise and Anticlockwise.
Simplicity for this jet lagged tourist to remember easily...
