Port DOUGLAS

Traveling up to the very top of Australia this time of the year comes with a few pros and cons.

Although it is hot as it`s summer, the wet season is in full strength. This means that out of nowhere rain pours down unexpectedly at anytime.

Our open Balinese Villa was beautiful and so secure but open to the elements of the ever-changing weather system.Ohh and on a little note if you are thinking visiting here, Crocodiles are apparently everywhere and we were cautioned that there have been ones found taking advantage of the blue pools, enjoying a dip here from time to time. OMG!

Trying to put that aside with great difficulty, we immersed ourselves in the lifestyle offered and spent many a day and night enjoying our new home, BBQing and soaking in the humidity Port Douglas has to offer.
