HAVANA from above

Walking the city of Havana is no small task in the middle of peak summer. It is hot. Humidity is extreme and the sun beats down on this old city relentlessly. Trying to seek the shelter of somewhere air conditioned is high priority and is the only way you can keep on exploring without calling it quits. So finding the beautiful renovated Parque Hotel overlooking the buzz while shaded and refreshed ( with my 4th lemonade all before 10am) was perfection.

Overlooking the Capitol from above and watching the coloured vintage cars moving around was such a treat. Nowhere in the world can you see such an abundance of bubblegum coloured convertibles and retro charm than here..

Just calling the waiter now. .Another iced lemonade please!

NOTE: A good sunscreen is a must while discovering the city.
