CACTUS Party

A short 2.5 hour flight and I arrive to Cabos San Lucas Mexico. My very first time here and I am totally mesmerised with the harsh Mexican terrain. It is literally what i always thought it might be with the hot desert, sand, cactus popping up everywhere and the blue sea framing it. Upon arrival I was told all cactus are protected by law and it is illegal to destroy or even touch one without consequences.

Most hotels and motorways are built with that pending and they build around the cactus as a protected emblem which represents the country of Mexico.

Cactus forests are everywhere here. Like a Walt Disney cartoon, it is something out of Speedy Gonzalez and what an incredible plant they are for withstanding huge amounts of hot desert heat and no water.

It apparently rained last time in December for one day. it is now July.
