A 90 minute drive from Cancun and believe me its worth the trip. Tulum is magical!
It evokes the feeling of what once was and still is without high-rises and mass tourism. Perfect little beach huts await you in white sand surrounded by blue water. The beauty of the Mayan Riviera is just it`s simplicity and rugged nature which still exists here.
The weather is gorgeous daily and the food exceptional!
There is about a 2km strip of family owned hotels and within this you will find hiding a green jungle of palms, restaurants, cocktail bars and my favourite- individual boutiques with that quintessential Mexican vibe. No chain stores to be found just honest locals with a style all of their own selling goods mostly all handmade in Mexico.
There is no way on earth you can get bored here. After a rough morning of relaxing by the sea, you can venture out by foot, bicycle or if you wish a car and explore the hidden treasures this beautiful pristine place has to offer!
