I adore Capri for so many reasons. It to me is one of the treasures found on this planet which encapsulates everything a dreamy vacation should be. This is my 5th visit and there is a reason behind this trip particularly which isn't involving the azure blue water or the Mediterranean sunshine. ( although that compliments it perfectly).
I am going to be bluntly honest with you. I made the extra trip for one thing and one thing only. THE INCREDIBLE FOOD!
There are 2 restaurants on this island which transports me into a magical culinary heaven. So much so that the sheer mention of this island and I see pasta, anti-pasto and dolce wafting infront of my eyes.
Be warned, eating in Capri is like a drug which you will forever crave and want to go back for more.
My first stop for dinner is my absolute favourite restaurant on this planet Da Paolino. It is impossible to describe the food. It must be seen and tried to be believed.
Then there is the fantasy ambiance which is all 100% real. You are dining under lemon tress. Hundreds of them. Full of large, sweet Amalfi lemons hanging over your dining table and growing fatter each day happily.
My addiction is the anti-pasto table. A MUST try as a starter. Main meal - lemon linguine which is their speciality and to die for!
After each visit, I tell myselft that this was probably the last time and I will relish it for years to come but already my mind is toying with the notion of one more hit. Just one more time to eat under the Mediterranean lemon trees.
