ROMAN Holiday

I awoke this morning in Rome feeling totally inspired by the movie `Roman Holiday`with Audrey Hepburn. So inspired infact that I decided to wear a dress that captures the essence of being in this old city. A silk dress with lace sleeves created an aura of vintage elegance which I wanted to show to all the sights I was visiting in Rome.

My Dolce Vita moment at the Trevi Fountain was perfect. The sun was shining, the water glistening turquoise blue and the immortalised statues of Roman Gods peered down on me with a nod of acknowledgement that I was worthy of standing infront of them. (In my mind that was the cinderella story I told myself).

Walking through Rome is so amazing. You actually don't even realise that you are walking so much as the historic sights around you simply do not allow you to be tired. Only when I arrive back to my hotel later that afternoon did I see my Phone app indicating I had walked nearly 13km that day! Hooray for flat sandals and a shout out to good Italian comfort food which kept me going without fail.
