The Breakers Hotel PALM-BEACH

Having never visited Palm Beach Florida, i expected the ambiance to be similar to Miami.

How wrong was I. Both are on the beach, have fabulous sunny weather but thats where the similarities stop.

Palm beach is a place like no other. It has enormous mansions stretching across the shore line endlessly. These mansions also come with their fair share of land. All of which is immaculately green, manicured and what would a Palm Beach pad be without palm trees! Yes, you guessed it- Palm Beach is in abundance of palm trees!

If you have Palm Beach on your list of places to visit, then a MUST is to spend an afternoon at the very famous BREAKERS HOTEL. Now deemed "A Historic Palace" and protected for future generations, the hotel has a unique history. First known as The Palm Beach Inn, it was opened on January 16, 1896.

After 2 devastating fires, it has been beautifully restored to it`s former glory and stands proud hugging the bright blue coast line.

It also doesn't hurt that the iconic designer Lilly Pulitzer has a boutique within the hotel where the Palm Beach style continues with colour, bright design and summer energy. She goes as far as having designed the courtyard of the hotel with splashes of orange fusion and even the staff are wearing her dresses / suits to represent the hotel.

Truely a beautiful, majestic hotel which is worth an afternoon to lunch and walk the breath-taking grounds.
