ARABIAN Days and Nights

When I think of Arabian days and nights I am automatically transported to a place of exotic and ancient storybooks describing such as Ali Baba and Aladin, hot deserts, palm trees and breathtaking Palaces which seem to rise out from the golden sand as an oasis in the middle of the desert.

This visit to Marrakesh I found just that and for me these following photos really capture the light and heat of that environment. Added to it, the vast roof top and grounds of the "Sahara Palace Hotel" and my imagination wasn't far off from the reality of Marrakesh.

It only seemed appropriate that a long black dress was the perfect choice for this day as i wanted the surroundings to be the focal point.

As the day became twilight, the sun illuminated the Palace walls the colour of the desert. Lights subtlety lite the majestic gardens and inside darkness had fallen to give an almost mystical feel of another era.

Marrakesh truely is such a very unique and special city!
